Alexis Edelstein, Founder/CEO:

Alexis Edelstein served as a Bernie Sanders Delegate from California during the 2016 DNC. He was also a ‘super volunteer’ and media surrogate for the Sanders Campaign. He was recently elected as an ADEM Delegate in Assembly District 62.

Alexis is also the Founder/CEO of Berniecrats of California, a 501 (c)(3).  Berniecrats of California is an official Our Revolution Affiliate.  He is also a founding member of Our Voice Initiative.

He holds an MBA in International Business and has over 20 years of business experience with leading companies like P&G, Wrigley and Red Bull.


Susie Shannon:

Susie Shannon has worked with homeless and low income communities in Los Angeles since 2005, advocating for systems change and public policy to support solutions to homelessness.  In 2015, she worked to pass SB 1380 (Mitchell), a bill that created the Homeless Housing Coordinating and Finance Council and adopt a Housing First model for the State of California.

In 2009, Shannon testified before Congress as an expert witness on the homeless and housing crisis in Los Angeles.  She served for two years as the Homeless and Housing Advocate for the Los Angeles Coalition to End Hunger and Homelessness, working on case management and policy change at the Federal, State and Local levels of government.  

She currently serves as the President of the Health Commission for the City of Los Angeles and is a member of the Democratic National Committee as well as the Region 12 Director for the California Democratic Party. 


Brian Lis:

Brian is a Los Angeles-based new media producer who has been documenting progressive political rallies and community events since Bernie announced his candidacy in 2015.

He regularly shoots and edits web content for We Are The Media, a progressive news site founded by Bernie supporters and volunteers, and helps develop social media strategies for progressive candidates and organizers. Brian received a BFA in Film/Video/New Genres from the University of Wisconsin in 2013 and currently works at a Visual Effects company in Burbank where he manages teams of VFX artist for several network shows.


Rayes A. Barrera:

Rayes A. Barrera will be graduating from California State University, Los Angeles May 2017 with his bachelors degree in Economics. Rayes interned for the offices of former Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, as well as current Mayor of Los Angeles Eric Garcetti. Rayes' background stretches from interning for the Neighborhood and Community Service Department, Economic & Business Policy Department: Office of Small Business, and the Financial Management Division for Los Angeles Bureau of Sanitation.

During Bernie Sanders 2016 Presidential campaign, Rayes organized students heavily on campus by becoming a student organizer at Cal State Los Angeles and helping to create Cal State LA for Bernie.  He aslo joined Cal State Los Angeles ASI Lobby Corps (student government)

Once Rayes graduates, he hopes to attain his masters in Economics while pursing a career in public policy and behavioral economics.


Michael Blecher:

Michael worked as a research assistant in several Psychology Research Labs before becoming a political organizer and activist.

He canvassed in six states on behalf of the Bernie Sanders 2016 Presidential Campaign. He has written in OpEdNews and his work for the campaign has been covered in The Village Voice and Newsday. He is the founder and president of Politics Reborn Inc.  


Samuel Ronan:

Samuel Ronan is a USAF veteran, reservist, political activist, and the founder of the Our Voice Initiative.

Ronan has run as an OH Congressional candidate and DNC Chair candidate under a progressive platform and a stern call to reform the electoral process to free and fair elections.

He currently resides in Ohio.
